Knowledge Sharing Session B — Energy Data, Evidence, and Policy Use: Tools for Think Tanks and Researchers

This hands-on workshop applies energy data systems and research evidence to real-world policy decisions, with practical work on tools and open data platforms. It is delivered by the ATTP Secretariat and facilitated by Mr. Adebusuyi Adewumi Adeyemi (Technical Advisor, Africa Think Tank Platform, African Union Commission).

Contributors include Dr. Bjorn Lomborg (Copenhagen Consensus Centre), Dr. Yasmine Fahim (Economic Research Forum), Dr. Anthony Francis Mveyange (APHRC) and Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Sekyere (ACET).

Objective: strengthen the ability of African think tank researchers to locate, interpret, and communicate energy data in ways that directly support policy advice — bridging the gap between data availability and policy utility. Expected outcomes: participants build hands-on skills producing policy-relevant evidence briefs; a curated Africa energy data resource guide is compiled and shared with all delegates; session tools and outputs are archived in the ATTP Knowledge Repository.
