From Evidence to Energy Access: Emerging Findings from the ATTP Project Research Consortia

Each of the three ATTP research consortia presents preliminary findings on energy, economic transformation, and governance, followed by structured feedback from a policy respondent panel and open discussion. This is the flagship output-delivery mechanism for the World Bank-funded ATTP Project. Facilitated by Dr. Themba Gilbert Chirwa (ATTP Project Coordinator, AUC), with an opening framing by Dr. Ralph E. Nordjo (Copenhagen Consensus Center).

Presenters: Dr. Yasmine Fahim (ERF), Dr. Anthony Francis Mveyange (APHRC) and Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Sekyere (ACET). Respondents: Dr. Samer Al-Samarrai (World Bank), Mrs. Pamla Gopaul (AUDA-NEPAD), Dr. Landry Signé (Brookings) and Mrs. Tighisti Amare (Chatham House).

Objective: give the three consortia a high-visibility platform to share emerging findings with policymakers before final publication — a structured feedback loop that strengthens policy relevance — and demonstrate the value of the ATTP investment as the project approaches mid-implementation. Expected outcomes: substantive policy feedback recorded and transmitted to research leads; a joint ATTP research highlights brief and/or joint policy brief produced and disseminated.
