Policy Dialogue 1 — Unlocking Capital for Women-Centered Climate Solutions: Philanthropy and Clean Cooking

This dialogue deepens the financing and gender dimensions of clean cooking — a sub-theme that risks being overshadowed by electricity access — by convening actors who can make concrete financing pledges or institutional commitments in a focused, off-plenary setting. Hosted by the WINGS Network.

Facilitated by Ms. Ya Sally Njie (WINGS), with a keynote by Mr. Dio Tobing (WINGS) and speakers Mrs. Pearl Esua-Mensah (Ghana Climate Innovation Centre), Mr. Arnaud Djoko (GSF Global Advisors), Prof. Mitowanou E. Koffi-Tessio (CREPSAD) and Prof. Fadel Ndiame (PASGR).

Objective: convene actors who can commit new or increased clean cooking finance and surface behavioural and demand-side interventions. Expected outcomes: at least two institutions signalling new or increased clean cooking finance; a clean cooking solutions brief authored by young African innovators, disseminated via ACBF and WINGS networks.
