Welcome Remarks & Official Opening
Session Overview
The 12th Africa Think Tank Summit opens with formal remarks from senior leadership of the Africa Capacity Building Foundation, the host country government, and the ATTS Secretariat. Dr. Aminata Camara and Prof. Olusegun Adeyemi welcome delegates and frame the three-day programme around the theme of energy transformation and economic delivery.
The opening introduces the structure of the Summit: three thematic days organised around access, financing, and implementation; six policy tracks running across them; and a closing communiqué that captures the conclusions delegates negotiate over the week. Protocol notes, security guidance, and venue logistics are also covered.
Attendees leave the opening with a clear map of the days ahead, an understanding of how breakout choices feed the final communiqué, and confirmation of the Summit's continued alignment with AU Agenda 2063 and the African Continental Free Trade Area implementation calendar.
