Peer-Learning Roundtable — Utility Turnaround Stories: What Worked, What Didn't, and What It Took

Selected utilities that have demonstrated measurable reform progress share unscripted accounts of what drove change and what nearly derailed it, in a structured peer exchange with visiting delegations, in a conversation-around-a-table format.

Facilitated by Mr. Charles Kofi Owusu (ACBF), with a kick-off by Mr. Arona Oumar Kane (Bangath Systems), and speakers Mr. Hippolyte Ebagnitchie (SBEE, Benin), Mr. Papa Toby Gaye (SENELEC, Senegal), Mr. Rugigana Evariste (Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority), Ing. Frank Asirifi Otchere (GRIDCo, Ghana) and Mrs. Ana Hajduka (Africa GreenCo).

Objective: generate authentic, transferable reform knowledge from utilities that have navigated real political and technical obstacles — not polished success stories, but honest accounts of what the reform process actually felt like. Expected outcomes: three structured 'reform journey' case narratives documented as peer-learning resources; at least one delegation-to-delegation follow-up exchange agreed; a 'conditions for successful reform' synthesis produced.
