The 2021 Africa Think Tank Summit, the 8th edition, was convened virtually on 9–10 December 2021 under the theme "Digital Transformation in Post-COVID-19 Africa." The 8th edition explored the policy and implementation modalities essential to leveraging digitalization to better rebuild African economies in the COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 period.
Building on a summit series that began in 2014 with 50 participants in South Africa, delegates discussed the capacities needed to accelerate the African Union's Digital Transformation Strategy (2020–2030) and how it translates into robust digital transformation policies and actions at regional and national levels.
