Summit Overview
The 6th Africa Think Tank Summit was held 24–26 April 2019 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya — the first time the Summit was hosted in Kenya — under the theme "Tackling Implementation Challenges for Africa's Sustainable Development."
Co-organized by ACBF and KIPPRA with the AfDB, Afreximbank, the Hewlett Foundation and the Islamic Development Bank, and bringing together over 100 think tanks from across the continent, the summit focused on the implementation gap in delivering the SDGs and Agenda 2063 — examining think tanks' roles in policy implementation, capacity building, and accountability mechanisms including the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
