Summit Overview

The Fourth Africa Think Tank Summit was held 6–8 April 2017 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, organized by ACBF in partnership with the Government of Côte d'Ivoire and CAPEC/CIRES, with the AfDB, African Union Commission, UN Economic Commission for Africa, UNDP and Afreximbank. Under the theme "African Think Tanks and Industrialization in Africa," the summit drew 126 participants from around the world — think tank directors, policymakers and development experts — united by their commitment to strengthening think tanks while advancing their contribution to Africa's industrialization agenda and socio-economic transformation.
